on Friday we had a very large day in a full mini car driving through the northernmost countryside of new zealand, the island where copenhagen is capital in denmark.
oh how the light lets every color brighten much more intensely than in the states. my eyes needed a long rest that evening. this photo is from gilleleje, the northernmost and largest fishing port in denmark (although it may be second to one other on jutland, the largest island of dk).
anyway! sean is on the left, me in the middle, and lars, sean's oldest brother to the right. what a large anchor, eh?
wish you could have tasted the freshest fried sturgeon we had, each of us, on top of the healthiest grainy bread with lettuce that you could actually taste the makeup of--dirt, water, sunlight.
and, of course, a carlsberg to wash it down. we even walked up to the beach, the water was chilling. the rocks are very smooth and so white. i had to have a few to remember it by. my luggage will be so heavy on the way home!
and now we are off to a flea market in holdt, the best in dk. :)
