bread & butter

b&b: sometimes it's all you need to satisfy that little snacking hunger.

Have you tried to savor your bread and butter with seeded multi-grain bread with whole grains you can see and taste? I especially like the honeyed versions with the little yellow round grains and toasted sesames.

And for me, the butter must, must, MUST be UNsalted. I soften the cold sweet butter by placing the side of my knife on a toaster-ovened-slice for a few seconds to transfer the warmth. This works well if you like to keep the butter in the fridge. And the option of unsalted butter is a bonus because you can employ it for many applications (recipes) and then add salt or other seasonings to spice up the flavor of melt-in-your-mouth-dairy-fat.

Just BE CAREFUL! Eating too much of any one thing (butter, salt, bread, fats, carbs, etc., or even too many foods together), can have a multitude of possible health repercussions.

BUT don't let this halt your healthy choices~it's so very important to eat a
variety of foods and to diversify each meal or snack with a protein, a fat, and some starch. Happy snacking~!
