Did you know they can taste good, too?
Yeah, beans~the more you eat, the more you ... well, you know! But it's a good thing to let go~so stay healthy by eating beans more often than meat. It will do you good even if you have to toot.
The following recipe is VERY free-form: you may add more carrot or garlic, less sugar, or add celery or roasted peppers, etc. Whatever you like~! It's quite fun if you do what you want with a recipe and it turns out great. Then it will become your own~so don't let me spoil your fun!
You may want to start out by trying garBANZO BEANS this way:
heat oil and butter in large saute pan.
add slivered onion and/or shallots, a little salt and a little sugar. cook until 1/2 way soft and translucent.
add chopped garlic, a little white wine, and a carrot diced. cook until onions are translucent.
add garbanzo beans and a little of their liquid.
crush black pepper and a little red hot crushed pepper over beans, stirring every once in a while.
add fresh thyme or parsley, basil or oregano, mixing beans until thoroughly coated with all ingredients. TASTE. is it good? does it need more of this or that?
Add what you think will make it better.
You may serve as is, or process 1/2 of the mixture to make a dip-like consistency. Enjoy!
